With the new Florence model, Sandberg pays an impressive tribute to the fat bass sounds from the seventies. The Sandberg Florence is a retro, straightforward short-scale bass with a single Power Humbucker. The alder body in combination with the bolt-on mahogany neck provides a fine tonal balance. The controls are simple: you have a volume and tone control, with an extra push pull function for two different tone cuts. In this way, the Florence works ideally with any amplifier, whether you use – for example – a swampy Ampeg or a pointy Eich amp. The single Power Humbucker sits exactly in the sweet spot on the body for maximum sustain. Like every Sandberg, the Florence is supplied with a gig bag.
