This is a very interesting guitar for the musician who is ready for a mature instrument to grow with. The Taylor Academy 12 is a fully acoustic guitar, which means that this guitar is not equipped with a pickup. This whopper is equipped with a solid Sitka Spruce (spruce) top. Tops made from this wood often promise a very nice definition of the strings, with enough treble to cut through the mix. The side and back are made of laminated Sapele. This wood looks a bit like mahogany, so expect a nice warm timbre and enough mids to get serious in a band mix. The armrest completes this Taylor completely, and gives the guitar a slightly more luxurious feel and appearance. Includes sturdy bag.
